What is an Affiliate?

An Affiliate is a marketer that has links that link back to your website, and when these links are used, they are logged, and you can give some credit to the marketer.

How do I add an Affiliate?

To add an Affiliate to your website, click on the "Security" section on the left hand side. Here you can see all your users.

Add a new user and fill in their details, when you get to the "groups" field, make sure you set them as an Affiliate.

Create them as a user and let them know their password.

How does an Affiliate get their links?

When the affiliate logs into the system with their email and password, they can only see the affiliate section for your MySite.

When the look into it, they can see links to the individual pages and products on your site. These are the links they can use to direct traffic to your website.

The Affiliate can then copy those links and use them in any links to your website.

How does an Affiliate see how successful they have been?

When a customer clicks on one of those links, the system records the page they landed on and which affiliate referred them. Each page load by a customer is shown in the "Affiliate Page Load" tab. If that customer then goes through to complete a successful order, this is also logged, and can be seen on the affiliate "order" tab.

The affiliate can only see the order number, date and order status for any orders that were made from their links, no personally identifiable information is visible to the Affiliate.

How do I check how my Affiliates are doing?

As a Mysite administrator when you view your affiliate tab, you are able to see all affiliate page loads for your site, and all affiliate orders.
